Description
This variety of French origin is best known in Hungary under the name gray-friendly, precisely in our wine region. The wine of the former monks produces excellent quality every year, which is characterized by low yields, high sugar content at harvest, then a large body and high extract. This wine comes from perhaps the best vineyard on Szent György-hegy, the Tarányi vineyard. It got its mineral flavors and pleasant roundness from volcanic soil, which was completed by barrel aging and batonnage. In order to retain the aromas, it was bottled unfiltered.
