Description
Ayala Rosé Majeur is the perfect embodiment of the House's originality and sophistication. It is described as "the most Chardonnay of rosés," a nod to its composition.
It is predominantly composed of Chardonnay from 24 exceptional crus and Pinot Noir harvested from the best sites of the Montagne de Reims, complemented by a touch of Pinot Meunier. Six percent of the Pinot Noir is vinified as red wine from the renowned Grand Cru vineyards of Aÿ, lending the cuvée its distinctive color.
To preserve the fruity freshness characteristic of Ayala, stainless steel tanks are used for fermentation and aging prior to bottling and the secondary fermentation process.
During the secondary fermentation stage, Rosé Majeur is aged for 36 months before disgorgement, followed by a further three months of resting in the cellar.
Its low dosage enhances its sophistication and delicate elegance, as does the modest proportion (17%) of reserve wines.
Pale pink in color. The nose is alluring, blending rose petals and perfume with aromas of ripe peach, strawberry, and cherry. The palate is airy, light, fresh, and expressive, offering soft fruitiness.
