Zoltán Günzer

Zoltán Günzer’s family farm began operation in in 1993 on barely half a hectare and selling 1,500 bottles of wine a year. Nowadays, they cultivate 20 hectares of Portugieser, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Kékfrankos, Pinot Noir, Syrah and Kadarka in the Ördögárok, Jammertal, Csillagvölgy, Bocor, Dobogó vineyards. Their annual production is 100,000 bottles. Their aim is to preserve the fruitiness in their wines, so after destemming, the berries are placed in the tank without crushing. They only use new oak for ageing their premium wines.
