Tűzkő Estate

Perhaps only a few people know that the contemporary Italian winemaking innovator, the Piero Antinori brand, also has an estate in Hungary. They even have a cooperage in Paltoabozs! The Tuscan winery, which mainly produces lovely red wines, are well complemented by the Tűzkő estate in Bátaapáti, which has been 100% owned by Antinori since 2000. The modern winery was built in 1991, but the cellar for barrel and bottle maturation dates back to the early 1700s. They produce Chardonnay, Zöldveltelini, Hárslevelű, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Gewürztraminer, Kékfrankos, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Wine region: Tolna Main varieties: Chardonnay, Zöldveltelini, Hárslevelű, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Gewürztraminer, Kékfrankos, Merlot, Cabernet Franc
