Vesztergombi Winery
Ferenc Vesztergombi became a well-known figure in the Szekszárd wine region very early on and was among the first to receive the Wine Producer of the Year award in 1993 (which was then called Winemaker of the Year and was also recognised by the Order of Seven Wine Judges). Nowadays, Ferenc is rarely seen at wine events and the wines are made by his son, Csaba Vesztergombi. Their 27 ha are divided between the Kerékhegy, Hidaspetre, Bodzás, Porkoláb-völgy, Szarvastető and Leányvár vineyards and are planted with Olaszrizling, Királyleányka, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Kadarka, Kékfrankos, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir.
