Description
The grapes originate from parcels in the Côte Chalonnaise, Hautes-Côtes de Beaune, and Hautes-Côtes de Nuits; soil: limestone and clay.
A beautiful, brilliant ruby-red color. Aromas of peony rise above succulent notes of red fruit and spices, accompanied by subtle woody nuances.
The palate reveals a direct and highly refined aromatic expression. It offers pleasant energy and a soft texture, with well-integrated tannins. The finish is long and agreeable, featuring lingering spicy notes.
The summer was marked by several prolonged heatwaves, while storms in late August proved highly beneficial just before the harvest began. At Chanson, the harvest ran from August 30 to September 13. The 2022 vintage was abundant in terms of yield, while the quality was exceptional and well-balanced.
Aged on fine lees in stainless steel tanks and French oak barrels (228-liter barrels, ranging from 1 to 6 years old).
