Description
Fülöp the stork was born in 2003 in Spain, in the Ebro River valley. It is unknown whether he ever left Europe, but it is certain that he has lived in and around Bodrogkeresztúr since 2006. He has raised 34 chicks; while his mate always migrated away, he stayed behind. In winter, he warms himself on chimneys, drinks from the waters of the Bodrog, hunts for voles, and claims ownership of every stork nest in the area.
Pale gold in color with delicate straw-yellow highlights. It appears light in the glass, with a restrained and elegant nose. Subtle aromas of dried apricot and linden honey hint that this is a sweet wine.
The palate is harmonious and balanced: vibrant acidity strikes a perfect balance with the residual sugar, while the alcohol integrates almost imperceptibly into the structure. The noble character of botrytis unfolds as dried apricot flavors, complemented by delicate earthy, mushroomy nuances and subtle barrel spices.
Sweet yet airy and elegant; never heavy. Thanks to its freshness and medium-long finish, it offers a unique experience even as an aperitif.
