In 2024, it was chosen as one of the top fifty wines at the world's largest and most prestigious wine competition, the Decanter World Wine Awards. The platinum-medaled wines are tasted again in the last stage of the competition and the best ones are selected, they receive the Best in Show award. In the 2019 vintage, we experienced an outstanding quality of wine in the wine region. These botrytized sweet wines are rich and, thanks to the lucky vintage, have extremely pure aromatics. Gizella Aszú shows the character of the Mád and Bodrogkeresztúr areas, where the complexity of Furmint could be completed in the form of a six-putton Aszú. The wine was made according to the classic recipe, we soaked the Aszú grains in a base wine with a high sugar content, then the finely pressed must with an extremely complex taste was fermented and matured in Hungarian wooden barrels for more than 18 months. 2019 is characterized by exceptional balance, airiness and high quality, which is why we will refer to it as one of the best Aszu vintages recorded since the millennium.
