Description
Located on the border of Tarcal, our south-facing vineyard with loess soil is one of the two vineyard areas that received the "excellent first class" rating. Its wines are characterized by a unique acid structure, fruitiness and silkiness, combined with body and enormous potential. Royal Tokaji owns 11 hectares of the vineyard's total area of 19 hectares, which is south-facing. In 2016, the quality of dry wines, late harvest and aszú wines developed favorably. Both healthy and botrytis-cured grapes were used to make the wine, with a potential alcohol content of 15.5%. The original batch was the 6-putton basic must of Mézes Mály Aszú. After pressing and fermentation, the wine was aged for 5 and a half years in oak barrels from Zemplén. During this time, the wine matured under a thin veil, losing about 0.5% alcohol per year. Dry zamorodni is a traditional style of dry Tokaji that is unique in the region. Aromas of walnuts, almonds and dried fruits appear in its aroma. A bone-dry, fresh, balanced wine with a long finish. We recommend it as an excellent aperitif, but also with seafood, aged cheeses, olives and capers. Consumption temperature: 11-12 C°.
