Description
A deep crimson, full-bodied wine. It opens up quickly, revealing a complex aromatic profile. The influence of barrel aging is prominent, characterized by notes of spice, rum-infused chestnut, and chocolate. At the same time, hints of violet florals and blueberry-blackberry fruitiness emerge. It possesses pleasant acidity; the firm tannins are still youthful but integrate well into the wine's rich, intense character. Ripe black cherry dominates the palate. The wine is incredibly rich—almost substantial enough to chew—offering a texture that is simultaneously taut and silky, while the alcohol provides a warming sensation on both the nose and the palate. The finish is moderately long and delicately fruity, concluding with a subtle note of roasted chestnut.
