Attila Gere
Attila Geres winery, which has more than 70 hectares in the best vineyards in the Villány wine region (Kopár, Konkoly, Csillagvölgy, Ördögárok), has been farming organically since 2010. Attila Gere was one of the first to become Wine Producer of the Year in 1994, while their iconic wine Kopár was 20 years old in 2017. As well as the usual varieties, they also boast Tempranillo, Fekete Járdovány and, on an experimental basis, some ancient Carpathian Basin varieties too, such as Bakator, Purcsin, Csóka, Balafánt, Kékbajor and Feketefájú Bajor. The wines of Gere-Weninger, founded with Franz Weninger, and the Csillagvölgy cellar, jointly with Vilmos Schubert are other highlights.
