Vida Family Estate

There are few people who can discuss wine like Szekszárd winemaker Péter Vida, who was named Wine Producer of the Year in 2011. As well as Péter, his wife Ágnes and son Péter who graduated from the University of Economics, are now also involved in the work on the 20-hectare estate. And although the two girls, Kata and Zsuzsi have chosen different paths, they may soon find their way back to the family business. They cultivate Merlot, Kékfrankos, Kadarka and Cabernet Franc in their Bakta, Baranyavölgy, Hidaspetre, Lisztesvölgy and Virághegy vineyards. Their wines strive for elegance rather than for concentration.
