Southern Slovakia
The Highlands (formerly part of Hungary) are practically considered an independent wine region under this name, although it is officially called the Southern Slovakian wine region. Since the end of the 2000s, this region has been producing increasingly lovely wines, and you can now expect excellent quality from the region's winemakers.
