The wine pays homage to Mr. Killerman, who lived in a humble tin shack in the hills behind Kilikanoon and found his daily sustenance in the form of wild hare and other natural delicacies while traveling the Clare Valley. Killerman's Run wines reflect the richness of the landscape and harmony with nature by blending wines from across the Clare Valley. The batches of each parcel were processed separately and remained so until the final wine was made. Fifteen months of aging in selected, used French oak barrels gives the wine softness, a silky taste and elegance. A medium-bodied, refined shiraz. Deep red in color with a bright crimson border. It has an elegant aroma of red fruits with hints of cherry, anise and mixed spices. On the palate, red and dark fruits, blackberries, sweet plums and peppery spices. Concentrated and focused, with a long and tart finish supported by fine oak tannins.
