Chateau Jean Faux

Château JeanFaux is a southern-entretien domaine in the Entre-Deux-Mers region, in the village of Sainte-Radegonde. The entire estate is nearly 45 hectares (vineyards, forests, meadows), of which 12 hectares are private vineyards – 10ha red (80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc), 2ha white (85% Sauvignon Blanc, 15% Sémillon) – with an average age of 25–30 years. The winery practices biodynamic farming (organic since 2008, biodynamic since 2014). The winemaking in the wine region is modern: fermentation in 40–80 hl steel tanks, maturation in wooden barrels (12–14 months, 40% new French barrels). Annual production is approx. 70–80,000 bottles. The winery is led by Pascal Collotte and supported by the advice of Stéphane Derenoncourt, their goal is terroir purity and quality.
