Laurent Perrier
Laurent-Perrier Champagne is one of the best-known and largest independent champagne houses in France, operating since 1812. The style of the house is defined by the high proportion of Chardonnay, which gives freshness and sophistication to the champagnes. The winery produces on more than 150 hectares, but also buys grapes from premium growing areas. The main varieties are Chardonnay (55%), Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Laurent-Perrier is at the forefront of popularizing the brut nature (no added sugar) style. The house's champagnes are long-aged, often at least 4 years in bottle. The winery's iconic items include Ultra Brut, Cuvée Rosé and Grand Siècle.
