This grape variety is the hallmark and traditional flagship of the Villány wine region, forming the backbone of local wineries’ portfolios. A well-vintaged Portugieser is fresh, vibrant and soft, with low tannin content, making it easy to enjoy even at a young age.
Tiffán’s Portugieser comes from the Villány vineyards of Jammertal and Sterntal, as well as the Várerdő and Ördögárok sites in Nagyharsány. The grapes were harvested at optimal ripeness and in healthy condition, resulting in a smooth, charming and genuinely expressive Portugieser.
