Contessa di Radda Chianti Classico is named after the Tuscan countess, mother of the famous Marquis Ugo, mentioned by Dante Alighieri himself in The Divine Comedy. The red wine itself is made from vineyards in the heart of the Chianti Classico area and is a textbook example of the Chianti Classico style. Classic Sangiovese aromas, red fruits, a bouquet of flowers with violets and a slight minerality in the background, good structure and refined tannins in the taste. 12 months of aging in 100 and 55 hl Slavonian oak barrels. Excellent value for money Chianti Classico.
