With this champagne, the Henri Giraud estate pays tribute to François Hémart (1625–1705), the ancestor and pioneer of the Giraud-Hémart family. Through him, they honor the family and its history, which is closely connected to the Champagne region and the Grand Cru–classified terroir of Aÿ, where the Giraud family settled in the 17th century.
Fermentation in small oak barrels amplifies the wonderful aromatic spectrum of Pinot Noir, revealing an incredibly spicy softness that culminates in an exceptionally complex explosion of flavors. Its strong character makes it an outstanding companion to gastronomy and high-quality foods.
