Let's start with the not-at-all-uninteresting fact that this is a Merlot, bottled unfiltered and unfined, free of any additives, but the raw material was grown completely naturally even when the grapes were young. This is a natural wine to a point. Zsolt's (the winemaker) former dealer asked him to bring some younger wine to the market, because no one would believe that he sells wines that are only 8-10 years old or even older. The wine was made according to the order and was bottled quite young, with a great cork. It is known about Dániel wines that they are not made from grapes harvested with a low must content, so the Merlot bottled unfiltered and unfined moved a little and has been in this "stable" state for years. After pouring it into a glass, it gives a slight tingling sensation, but it quickly evaporates, quickly leaves it. So if someone does not like sparkling wine, it is advisable to decant the wine before drinking it. After decanting, we can taste a dark, almost black, black cherry, dark chocolate, very pleasant wine, all with the knowledge that only grape juice was put into the bottle, and minimal sulfur.
