Description
The basic Tawny is also a blend of several vintages, aged for an average of 3 years, but in small barrels, so thanks to the more intense micro-oxidation it is softer, lighter in color than Ruby, with more nutty and dried fruit notes. Aged Tawnies are amber-colored, complex, silky wines aged for 10, 20, 30, 40 years, in which honeyed and raisin flavors dominate. Graham's The Tawny is a transition between the two categories: a wine that has been aged in large barrels for 7-8 years, with a smooth texture and nutty character, but in which fresh fruits still have a voice. Like Tawnies in general, it is a product of several vintages and is aged in small barrels.
