Description
Tokaj's typical variety, Muscat, is presented in an uncharacteristic but elegant – tight form. Taking advantage of the advantages of soaking on the skin and clay ceramics, it has a restrained elegant aroma, a serious structure framed by crystal clear acids. For those who love real curiosities.
2023: The changeable weather of the season brought several challenges: the cool, rainy spring delayed development, but the plantation was not damaged by frost. In the summer, the infection pressure was strong due to the rain and heat, which required increased attention. The end of July and August brought hot, dry weather, which facilitated ripening. In the end, we harvested a smaller quantity, but of outstanding quality.
Tolcsva / Szentvér vineyard
One of our newest areas enriching the winery's portfolio. Curiosity about what can be obtained from a Muscat led us to this vineyard. The estate near Tolcsva, with its southern location, provides rich, juicy, fruity raw materials. The bound lymph soil mixed with rhyolite tuff frames the fruitiness of the muscat with a vibrant structure.
Soaking on the skins for 4 hours before pressing. Spontaneous fermentation and maturation on the lees in 300 liter clay ceramics.
Acidity: 6.1 g/l, residual sugar: 4.5 g/l
