Description
A blend of three varieties, Turán, Kékfrankos and Zweigelt from an excellent vintage. This wine clearly shows the benefits of growing cool climate varieties. Harvested from different vineyards in Bükk. After crushing and destemming the grapes, they are fermented in small open-topped vessels and are tapped three times a day in the fermentation vats for 20 days. Only 3 barrels are made in total. The barrels are made of different oak: Hungarian, French and American. Gallay Genus is a truly complex wine with many layers. It has aromas of sour cherries, plums, red berries, a hint of bourbon vanilla, nutmeg and spices. The tannins are smooth and soft.
