Description
The winery inherited the name of the grandfather of the current owners. Albert Macquin (1852-1911) played an important role in replanting the plantations destroyed by phylloxera.
Since 1994, Nicolas Thienpont has been the estate manager, whose son Cyrille has also taken an active role in preparing the 30th anniversary vintage. Cabernet Franc has made a special contribution to the 2023 vintage, lending the wine a velvety texture, elegance and sufficient length.
