Description
Deep ruby-purple color, with a rich, slow-moving rim that already suggests a full, warm character at first glance. Ripe sour cherry, black cherry and plum jam dominate the aroma, supported by a spicy background. Fine notes of cinnamon, clove and a hint of tobacco appear as secondary layers – the spiciness of Cabernet Franc and the fruit-driven character of Kékfrankos complement each other beautifully.
Medium-dry in body, with a surprisingly soft, smooth mouthfeel despite the higher alcohol content. Fruit remains dominant on the palate: sour cherry, sweet blackcurrant, a touch of dried plum and a subtle dark-chocolate finish. The acids are round, the finish long, velvety and gently sweet-edged – a truly Mediterranean-styled wine with a distinct Balaton character.
