Description
A selection of the spiky Italian Riesling plantation planted in the late 1950s. The name "Karós" refers to the cultivation method, this is how my grandparents called their spiky vines. Only 1,000 bottles of special wine are produced from the 0.5 hectare each year. We harvest the grapes by hand from the basalt-rich, bound soil on Gulács Hill, ferment and mature in 500-liter new oak barrels for 6 months, and then release them after a year of bottle maturation.
