Description
We only make aszú wines with the Dűlő designation in exceptionally good vintages. The 2018 harvest of Nyulászó dűlő was perfectly suited for this. The summer was hot, so we started picking aszú grapes in early September, and continued this in the ideal autumn weather. October in particular provided three textbook weeks that were perfect for the development of high-quality aszú grapes: with early morning fog, afternoon sunshine and wind. The outstanding quality aszú grapes were soaked in fermenting must for two days. After pressing and then fermentation in barrels, the aszú wine was aged in Zemplén oak barrels for two years in our historic cellar. Thanks to the mineral composition of Nyulászó dűlő, the wine is characterized by an elegant acid structure, rich flavors, harmony and endless length. Its aroma is perfumed, dominated by ripe peaches. The taste is reminiscent of apricots and orange peel with spicy notes.
