Belward Winery
The Pécs wine region is somewhat in the shadow of Villány and little known among wine lovers, although it produces first-class white wines. The Belward Winery has been making wine for decades and now cultivates 47 hectares of vines. They only make white wine from Olaszrizling, Cirfandli, Hárslevelű, Chardonnay, Riesling, Irsai Olivér, Sauvignon Blanc and Zöldveltelini. This is the only region where Cirfandli, the Austrian Zierfandel, is cultivated in Hungary. Their wines are excellent value for money. Frizzante wine and everyday wine are also available in magnum bottles as well as five-litre bag-in-box.
