Tornai Winery

Perhaps the largest player in the Nagy-Somló wine region celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2016, and now the third generation is working in the winery. They cultivate 60 hectares of Juhfark, Furmint, Hárslevelű, Olaszrizling, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Irsai Oliver, Zenit and Zeusz in the Szent Márton, Arany hegy, Apátsági, Grófi, Ilon and Százforduló vineyards. The winery at the foot of the hills is both a modern winemaking facility and a wine tourism centre. The entry-level wines are made using reductive technology, while selections are matured in 500-litre oak for 8-10 months.
