Péter Váli (Válibor)
Péter Váli spent most of his life in the world of gastronomy until he decided around 2000 to make wine in Badacsony. His five-hectare estate is near Badacsonyörs and is planted with Budai Zöld, Muscat Ottonel, Olaszrizling, Pinot Gris, Kéknyelű and excellent Pinot Noir. Their pure, delicious wines quickly gained popularity, especially the Luca wine made from a blend of Budai Zöld and Muscat Ottonel, the skin contact Pinot Gris (could almost be confused with rosé) and the Pinot Noir. Hospitality is in the whole familys blood, so there are now guest rooms, homemade hams, salami and oven-baked dishes on offer for wine-loving visitors.
