Gróf Buttler Winery

László Bukolyi founded and built the winery under the historical name from Mikszáth’s novel ‘The strange marriage’. The wines are now made by Zoltán Lóska. The fruit is sourced from two excellent vineyards - Szarkás-tető and Nagy-Eged-hegy. They boast a wide range of varieties, Pinot Blanc, Viognier, Kékfrankos, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Portugieser, Merlot and Kadarka. The reds are usually full-bodied with big tannins and high alcohol. The winery is also equipped to 21st century standards, with processing taking place on the gravity principle.
