Vinho Verde
Vinho Verde literally means green wine, although the term does not refer to the colour of the wine but rather its freshness. Most of the wines labelled as Vinho Verde are light wines made for youthful consumption. In many cases, the wines do not even state the vintage. Thus, it is best consumed within a year of harvest as its main attraction is its fresh fruitiness.
