Imre Györgykovács

Imre Györgykovács has been making wine in the Somló wine region since 1979 and is one of the most important winemakers in the region. He has a small boutique winery that he and his wife run together. They gained national fame in 1993 and have steadily excelled since then with their high-quality wines. In 2007, he received the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Hungary, while in 2012, he was voted Winemaker of the Winemakers.
