Törley Sparkling Wine Cellar
Törley was perhaps the countrys first real brand. József Törley founded his company in 1882 so he could use the experience he gained in Champagne back at home. It is still Hungarys leading sparkling wine cellar with an annual production of over 23 million bottles. The majority are tank-fermented wines, but they also make sparkling wine using the transfer and the traditional methods. The cellar, owned by Henkell and Söhnlein, now includes the BB, Francois and Hungária brands and also produces significant qualities of still wines in the Balatonboglár and Etyek wine regions. Wine region: Balatonboglár/Etyek-Buda Main varieties: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir Annual production: 23 million bottles
