Lisicza Winery

The Lisicza Winery is in Helesfa, in the Pécs wine district of the Pannon wine region. The family business was founded in 1998, but the family was already involved in viticulture in the 1800s. It is currently run by the Lisicza brother, Sándor and István. Their label depicting a characteristic fox refers to their surname, as the word “lisica” means fox in Slavic languages. They cultivate a wide range of varieties, as well as classic international and traditional Hungarian varieties, they also grow the wine region’s specialty, Cirfandli.
