Petrény Winery
The Petrény family has been engaged in viticulture and winemaking for their own consumption for generations. This inspired the modern yet traditional development of their viticulture and winemaking, which they began in 2002. They currently cultivate nearly 125 hectares of vines, half of which is newly planted, low yielding, with excellent exposure and soils. They believe that the basis of good wine is high-quality grapes, which can only be obtained by careful cultivation of the vines. By keeping the yields low, they help make the vines more resistant to disease, thus keeping plant protection to a minimum, spraying as little as possible and only with green substances. As part of their quest for biodynamic production, their vineyards are registered and comply with EU regulations.
