Alsace

The Alsace wine region in northeastern France covers almost 15,000 hectares. The vineyards are located on the eastern slopes of the Vosges Mountains. The region enjoys an unusually dry, sunny climate, which favours the slow ripening of the grapes. The region produces mainly white wines.
