Tüske Winery
The Tüske Winery, owned by winemaker Csaba Halmai has long proved that good things dont have to be overpriced. Their own 10 hectares are in the Iván-völgy, Baranya-völgy, Kerék-hegy and Leányvár vineyards, and they rent another 2.5 hectares. Their most important varieties are Kékfrankos, Kadarka, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Reductive winemaking in temperature- controlled stainless steel tanks occurs on a facility built at the bottom of the Iván-völgy, while the barrel ageing cellar is in an over 100-year-old cellar in Istifángödör. Annual production is about 30,000 bottles as well as bulk wine sold locally.
