Somlói Abbey Cellar

The cellar building was already marked on the First Military Survey map produced 1763-1787. Most of their vineyards were replanted 2001-2006, mainly with Furmint, Juhfark and Hárslevelű. Prior to nationalisation, many old Carpathian Basin varieties were grown in their vineyards. Reconstruction of these started in 2012. They place great emphasis on doing vineyard work by hand.
