Kékfrankos (Blaufränkisch)
If there is one red wine variety typical of Central Europe, then it is Kékfrankos. Nowadays, it is one of the most common black grape varieties in Austria and Hungary. Besides medium tannins, it boasts liviness and fruitiness, but it is also often oaked.
