Thummerer Winery
Vilmos Thummerer has been making wines since 1984. Their 100 hectares of vines are in the Áfrika, Vidra, Mészhegy, Tekenőhát, Kőkötő, Csókás, Juszalos, Nagyvölgy and Nagyvölgy-tető vineyards. The vines, planted themselves, include Királyleányka, Chardonnay, Muscat Ottonel, Gewürztraminer, Zenit, Sauvignon Blanc, Kékfrankos, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Blauburger, Kadarka, Cabernet Dorsa and Csókaszőlő. Vilmos Thummerer known as Vili papa after his top blend won Wine Producer of the Year in 1995, while the winery won Winery of the Year in 2011. Since 2016, they have expanded their range with a traditional method sparkling wine.
