Káli Kövek

Around ten years ago, Gyula Szabó, a judge from Budapest, founded a winery in Köveskál. He rapidly achieved success with his pure, appealing, mineral wines. Although they have minimal vineyards themselves, they always purchase good quality grapes, so their wines are excellent every year. Their premium wines are village wines and single-vineyard wines, i.e. monovarietal wines as well as blends. Their annual production is now around 30,000 bottles, primarily of Riesling and Olaszrizling, Juhfark, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Kékfrankos and Pinot Noir as well as blends of these.
