Mikóczi Winery

The Mikóczi Winery is in the south of the Szekszárd wine region, in Báta, Tolna County. Attila Mikóczi and wife’s family winery has been involved in viticulture and winemaking for over 15 years. Inherited from grandparents, the half-hectare Kékfrankos vineyard has been growing constantly and is now 4 hectares. They cultivate black grapes, various Hungarian and international varieties, and buy white grapes from local growers. The winery is characterised by artisanal viticulture and winemaking combined with the use of modern technologies. Their goal is to ensure their customers can feel the love, attention and care with which they make their wines, and this in every bottle.  Wine region: Szekszárd Winemaker: Attila Mikóczi Estate size: 4 ha Main varieties: Királyleányka, Zenit, Olaszrizling, Müller Thurgau, Cabernet Sauvignon, Kadarka, Kékfrankos, Merlot Winemaking/technology: White and rosé wines are cool fermented, while reds are traditionally fermented in artisanal open vat or using temperature-controlled stainless steel tank.
