Szeleshát
The Szekszárd producers have always known that Szeleshát produces excellent grapes, and, if they could, they bought from them too. From 1998, the family gradually merged their previously fragmented vineyards. Their appearance has also benefitted the wine region. Of the 55-hectare estate, 40 hectares are productive. They make predominantly red wine and rosé from Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Kékfrankos, Syrah, Pinot Noir and Kadarka. Their entry-level wines are also top notch, but the Selection wines, especially the Kékfrankos and Merlot, are among the best in the country.
