Description
This batch was the favorite drink of Charles de Gaulle, France's most iconic statesman. As a tribute to him, the Drappier house named this sophisticated Champagne after him, which is made from 80% pinot noir and 20% chardonnay. It is aged in oak barrels. Citrus notes dominate, but apple, almond and some nutmeg can also be found alongside them. An ideal aperitif and a perfect accompaniment to dishes made from pheasant or foie gras.
