Orsogna is recognized as the largest organic and biodynamic estate in the world (!), 85% of the 1,200 ha of cultivated land is organic and 35% under biodynamic cultivation certified by Demeter. In the case of wine, let's dispel a misconception right away! Here, montepulciano does not refer to the well-known and recognized Tuscan sub-region, but to the grape variety, which can be found almost only in this wine region, a little unknown to Hungarians, in Abruzzo. It is characterized by its bursting aroma, which is why many people compare it to zweigelt, but this variety is much fuller, thicker and more alcoholic. A fresh, rich, thick, yet airy wine with aromas of cloves, prunes and leather, which goes well with Italian cuisine.
