Description
Valpolicella Ripasso DOC red wine is a blend of the base Valpolicella wine and the remaining lees of Amarone wine. The Valpolicella wine is kept on the lees of Amarone wine for 15-20 days, followed by a 2-year aging in wooden barrels. The Rondinella variety gives the wine its beautiful color, while the Corvina and Corvinone provide a structure rich in polyphenols and tannins. Compared to Valpolicella, it is a higher alcohol, fuller-bodied red wine with a longer finish.
