Description

It was named after Bruce Baudinet, one of the partners of Kilikanoon Wines. This multiple award-winning wine is modeled after the classic Southern Rhone blends, characterized by the harmonious balance and complexity of three grape varieties (50% grenache, 30% shiraz, 20% mataro). The dry but cooler weather of the 2019 vintage resulted in a smaller amount of but intensely flavored fruit. Using traditional techniques, the color, flavor and tannins were gently extracted from the peel. After pressing, each lot is aged for 14 months in French oak barrels before the final cuvée is assembled. Deep garnet red wine with purple hues. Its complex aroma includes blackberries, plums and spices with hints of leather and fresh lavender. Its taste is concentrated and harmonious, with hints of red plum, cherry and blackberry. In the tasty, spicy background, you can feel fine smoke and tar, which accompany the long and expressive finish with silky, velvety tannins. It also continues to develop in the glass as it aerates. A perfect choice for lamb ribs or BBQ pork.
