Description
The French term "vielles vignes" means the raw material harvested from old vines and the wine made from it, so the consumer can be sure that there is something exponentially better in the bottle. For this wine, the raw material is harvested from vines that are at least 25 years old, which gives a much more elegant, layered and delicious wine. The wine has a wonderful light golden color, the aroma is swirling with grapefruit, lime and white flowers with a faint petrol and mineral background. The taste is rich and complex, but not heavy, but refreshingly fresh and exciting with rich acids and juicy lime notes. We recommend it to fans of the breed! It is an ideal accompaniment to all kinds of seafood, oysters and St. James mussels, but the Alsatian people also like to drink it with their own tarte flambée, a bread pie made with cheese, sour cream and bacon, and you can even imagine it with Hungarian stuffed cabbage.
