The very hot and dry weather meant early budding, flowering and ripening, the rains came later in the harvest period and really unleashed botrytis on perfectly overripe grapes. It was a joy to watch. Complex and elegant wines were produced, with a silky structure and lush aromas. A rarity rated at 100 points, with only 3.1% alcohol: "Incredible wine from one of the best vintages of the last decade. Extraordinary, wonderful, refined. It combines a wide spectrum of aromas: dried stone fruits and tropical fruits, floral scent, notes of oolong tea, bergamot, cardamom and turmeric can all be discovered in it. A beautiful botrytis character and dried mushroom and mineral notes complete it. Excellent balance, indescribably harmonious and refined, with beautiful, vibrant acids. It's amazingly long.
